It’s the seal.

Maybe if no one says it.

It won’t exist.

You can’t admit.

I understood the pain.

The word’s embrace.

Meant to suffocate.

I held my tongue.

because I knew.

It’d fill my lungs.

When the words are said out loud.

The realization hits you in the face.

It settles deep within your bones.

And leaves a bitter taste.
