A steel door opens
Allowing certain individuals to proceed
Leading them into a deep sea
Of swelling illusion and greed
Individuals, so similar
Yet, so lost in a spin
Trapped in a whirl of abstract freedom
Their morality is unfound
Stolen without a sound
The door, no different from
Their dishonor
Leaves the moral
The doves of humanity
Between two distinct fires
Drawing a line that blocks
They’re scarce and infrequent
But needed and precious
Barricaded illusions
Of being freed
